At Mahjong Drops, operated by Mahjong Drops LLC (a Wyoming LLC), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose information about you when you visit our website (including mahjongdrops.com), subscribe to our weekly newsletter ("The Mahjong Dispatch"), or join and participate in our gated Discord server.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information that is strictly necessary to deliver our automated alerts, manage your membership, and send you our newsletter.
A. Information You Directly Provide to Us — Newsletter Signups: If you sign up for our newsletter via the marketing site, we collect your email address.
B. Information Collected and Handled via Third Parties. Because our community and payment infrastructure run on external platforms, certain data is collected directly by our third-party processors:
Whop (Membership & Billing): When you purchase a subscription ($100/month), Whop collects your name, email address, and payment/billing information. Mahjong Drops does not directly collect, process, or store your credit card or financial details. Your billing information is governed strictly by Whop's privacy policies.
Discord (Community Access): Our gated community is hosted entirely on Discord. When you connect your Discord account to access our server, Discord handles your profile information and account credentials according to its own platform policies.
C. Technical and Automated Information — Cookies: Our marketing website may use standard cookies and tracking pixels to analyze site traffic, optimize performance, and understand user interactions on our landing pages.
Non-Personal Log Data: Our automated alert systems track and log publicly available product and SKU data across roughly 47 third-party retailers. This data is strictly non-personal and contains no user information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect solely to operate the Mahjong Drops community and infrastructure:
- To deliver real-time product restock and drop alerts to the Discord server.
- To distribute our weekly newsletter, "The Mahjong Dispatch," summarizing notable drops.
- To authenticate your membership status and manage server access via Whop and Discord.
- To maintain, secure, and optimize our self-hosted databases and automated tracking bots.
3. Data Storage and Infrastructure
We handle your information securely using modern cloud infrastructure. Your data is processed across the following third-party services:

Note on Data Migration: Email addresses collected from our marketing site are initially stored via Google Sheets and are subsequently migrated to our secure, self-hosted Postgres database hosted on Railway.
4. Public Indexes and Databases
We plan to eventually publish a public index and historical database tracking retail drops, restocks, and market availability.
This database will only contain non-personal, public-facing retail metrics (such as retailer names, SKU numbers, product descriptions, and historical drop timestamps).
Absolutely no member data, usernames, marketplace listings, or personal identifying information will ever be included in this public index.
5. The Member Marketplace: Data & Identity
Mahjong Drops provides a dedicated, member-only channel for peer-to-peer listings.
No Identity Verification: Beyond standard Whop and Discord platform registrations, Mahjong Drops does not verify or audit the identities of its members.
No Transaction Tracking: We do not participate in, track, or record financial transactions, shipping addresses, or payment processing details (e.g., Venmo, PayPal) occurring between members. Any data shared during a transaction is handled strictly between the participating individuals.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Opting Out: You can unsubscribe from "The Mahjong Dispatch" newsletter at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link included at the bottom of every email.
Data Access and Deletion: You have the right to request access to or deletion of the email address stored in our system. To request data deletion, please contact us at the email listed below.
Third-Party Data: Because we do not control or own the core databases of Whop or Discord, requests to modify or delete your billing history or Discord account details must be submitted directly to those platforms.

This Privacy Policy and our data practices are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States.
